  • Welcome to my {new} blog!

    Thanks for dropping in. I am a photographer located in Pocatello, Idaho. Wherever I go, my camera goes. Hopefully you will come back often and check out my latest obsessions.

    Please leave a comment before you go! I love to hear from you!

Shabby Apple Dress {Not too Shabby!}

I did it. I ordered a dress fromĀ  Shabby Apple. I hope it fits. I hope it’s “The One.” Because I really don’t want to pay to ship it back! Doesn’t Zappos include free shipping labels on returns? I highly admire that in an online only retail store. But I don’t want to take away from the joy of this occasion, because I am really excited about ordering my dress (with the birthday gift card from my parents!) I had it narrowed down to these two…

“Fifth Ave”

“Carousel”

I figure longer sleeves is a good choice for Idaho. Especially with fall starting like…next week. (Have you noticed it’s always freezing cold and drizzly for a couple of days during the Eastern Idaho State Fair ?!) Another tangent, sorry. I was leaning a bit more towards the one with giraffe print. I like that it’s a bit more sophisticated. But they didn’t have my size! After a month of periodically checking in, I decided to go ahead and order the blue one (with the fun Amy Butler fabric) since it was never back in stock. This dress is a party waiting to happen, don’t you think? SO. I did! I can’t wait to get it! I hope it’s long enough for all 6′ of me, broad enough in the shoulders, snug through the chest, and a bit wider through those hips! I will report back with my thoughts when I actually get the dress. Till then…enjoy what’s left of summer!

Neon Summer! {Pocatello Children’s Photographer}

I had a blast doing this session while I was in Oregon. Aren’t they cute!?! Once I realized the girls had these adorable tu-tu’s they were a must, so we built up a bright fluorescent theme around that. What a cute bunch of siblings! I sure am one lucky aunt.

Got to wear shades {A Favorite Pic!}

My “shades” photo was one of Amy & Angie’s favorites this week! Go check out the other favorites and the actual winners of week 33’s photo challenge, there were some cute and very clever photos! Click on the button or just click HERE.

Carver-Class of 2011 {Pocatello Senior Photography}

This year my brother is entering his senior year at Springville High. I’m sure we will do more sessions throughout the year so we can highlight some of the sports he plays. But he rocked this session looking his handsome self!

Back!

Sorry for the crickets around here. I’ve been off having some fun as displayed in the photo below. We were able to visit Lake of the Woods (an evening accompanied by bats) and also take a trip to the Oregon coast and see the Redwoods (in a sweet convertible) while visiting the in-laws. It’s nice to be spoiled every so often! I will especially miss catching some daily rays in the backyard pool. Now we are back home in our oh so cozy home. But home is home, and it’s always good to be back!

Check out this weeks photo challenge at I heart faces.
