This is Leila (Lee-la.) Half Australian Shepherd, half Border Collie. We have had her since she was an irresistible pile of fluff at 8-weeks old. My husband and I had been married just about that long when we saw her for sale on a grassy corner outside a farm store in Oregon. She was our unplanned honeymoon baby, and she has brought us so much happiness and joy since that day.
Leila’s eyes have always been a topic of conversation. People wonder if she is part blind because of the white spots. But she has her complete vision. It’s just a lighter shade of blue that is common for her breed. One of my favorite things about her is her many colors and spots. Her white fur is rabbit soft.
Since this weeks photo challenge at I Heart Faces is “pets” this would be the perfect opportunity for me to post a favorite shot of her. But narrowing it down to one, just one is nearly impossible!
